Montag, 16. M\u00e4rz 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manfred geht am Morgen nochmals einkaufen. Wir brauchen Wasser. Danach plaudert er noch lange mit den Fahrern zweier Camper. Der eine ist aus Brasilien, der andere aus Spanien. So fahren wir erst um 11 Uhr vom Standplatz weg. Es dauert wieder eine Ewigkeit, bis wir aus der Stadt sind. Wir fahren \u00fcber die Geleise, wo uns Vorgestern der Zug mit seinen vielen Lichtern ins Gesicht geschaut hat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am Anfang behindern uns noch viele LKWs. Aber mit der Zeit zieht sich die Karawane in die L\u00e4nge und wir k\u00f6nnen \u00fcberholen. Es ist am Morgen meistens leicht bew\u00f6lkt und erst ab Mittag \u00fcberdecken die Wolken das Blau des Himmels ganz. Als wir auf der Hochebene ankommen, haben wir Gl\u00fcck und die Wolken sind noch nicht so zahlreich. Wir k\u00f6nnen einen Vulkan in seiner ganzen Sch\u00f6nheit bewundern. Wir stehen zum Mittagessen auf einem grossen Parkplatz und k\u00f6nnen ihn die ganze Zeit ansehen. Ich brate Spiegeleier, denn wir werden heute auf beinahe 5000m hochfahren. Letztes Mal auf dieser H\u00f6he sind die Eier im K\u00fchlschrank geplatzt. Also lieber jetzt noch essen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir fahren \u00fcber eine Hochebene 4200m. Die Strasse f\u00fchrt schnurgerade durch eine Pampa. Ich kann mich leider nicht mehr an den Namen erinnern. Rechts stehen vor dunklen Wolken H\u00fcgel, w\u00e4hrend unten Vicunas und Alpakas grasen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es beginnt die Steigung. Auf 4500m sitzt ein Hirte, dick eingepackt, ganz allein am Strassenrand und h\u00fctet seine Lamas. Draussen hat es 9 Grad. Wir sehen auch ein bisschen Schnee auf dem Gras. Dann zieht der Nebel \u00fcber die Strasse und wir k\u00f6nnen die Landschaft links und rechts nicht mehr erkennen. Zuoberst, auf 4885m gibt es einen Aussichtspunkt, damit man die umliegenden Vulkane bestaunen kann. Aber wir sehen nur Nebel. 200m weiter unten lichtet sich der Nebel wieder. Wir fahren \u00fcber zahlreiche Kurven wieder hinunter auf 3600m nach Chivay. Dort muss man Eintritt f\u00fcr die Colca Schlucht bezahlen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Fahrt zum Aussichtspunkt gestaltet sich f\u00fcr mich schon mit Herzklopfen. Aber nicht wegen der H\u00f6he, sondern weil es auf der rechten Seite steil hinuntergeht und es hier keine Leitplanken gibt. Unten fliesst der Rio Colca. Am Aussichtspunkt sollten wir morgen Kondore sehen. Wir richten uns auf dem Parkplatz f\u00fcr die Nacht ein. Ein Fuchs besucht uns. Der Nebel kommt immer n\u00e4her und verdunkelt alles schnell. Kurz bevor es wirklich Nacht wird, \u00f6ffnet sich die Wolkendecke ein klein wenig und die Umgebung wird in ein rosa Licht getaucht. Danach ist es wirklich stockdunkel. Nirgends ein Licht zu sehen, weder k\u00fcnstlich noch vom Himmel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
